Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesday is hosted by Should Be Reading. Here's how you play:

This week I have two teasers. I can't help but to read both of these books.

Teaser # 1:

He pulled over and slammed the car into park, meeting her eyes through the dusty windshield.Though, he thought in the first instant, and then he looked a little closer and found a surprise. And afraid.

Teaser # 2:

When their scissors met at my shoulders, they'd give one last snip, and that strip of the sheet would fall to the ground. I watched the strips puddle at my feet, and it did feel like I was slowly shedding that black and heavy weight.
