My teaser:
Their house was full of unostentatious beauty and comfort, and here the art-loving host and hostess attracted and entertained artists of all kinds. Laurie had music enough now, and was a generous patron to the class he most liked to help. Amy had her proteges among ambitious young painters and sculptors, and found her own art double dear as her daughter grew old enough to share its labours and delights with her; for she was one of those who prove that women can be faithful wives and mothers without sacrificing the special gift bestowed upon them for their own development and the good of others.taken from Chapter Two of Jo's Boys by Louisa May Alcott

This is one of my favorite Alcott's but it is easy to see the sensibilities of the times, isn't it? Mine is from The Mane Attraction by Shelly Laurenston. Happy reading!
Great Teaser!!! I like this author, she is pretty good!
Feel free to check out Mine
Happy Reading!
"[...] she was one of those who prove that women can be faithful wives and mothers without sacrificing the special gift bestowed upon them for their own development and the good of others."
Love that! The only Alcott I have read is "Little Women", and that was years ago. This teaser really whets my appetite for "Jo's Boys"!
Wonderful teaser, delightful to read. My TT: http://www.rundpinne.com/2010/07/teaser-tuesdays-the-blind-contessas-new-machine.html
Oh, I love that teaser! It's wonderful! Thanks so much for visiting me!
Nice teaser from a good book.
My teaser is from The Passage this week.
Thanks for commenting on my own TT! This is a great teaser. I read Little Women years ago, but now I feel like rereading it! Along with reading Jo's Boys for the first time. I'm sure it's just as wonderful as Little Women.
