Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesday is hosted by Should Be Reading. Here's how you play:

* Grab your current read.
* Let the book fall open to a random page.
* Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
* You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
* Please avoid spoilers!

I'm a busy reader this week...I'm reading three books:

Teaser # 1:
He hadn't found salvation the way most people did. He'd found it in the shared fellowship of people like him, renewing their commitment every day to stay sober
~ taken from page 41, Lakeshore Christmas by Susan Wiggs

Teaser # 2:
They parted that day without speaking, and he spent the evening at the betting parlor, losing money.

The next time he saw her, he brought three green candles and three gold canldes and decorated her flat for Lulinemas.
~ taken from page 199, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire

Teaser # 3:
Phillipa hid a wince. Hours in the company of Olivia's silly, gossipy friends, on the very small chance that Bennett Wolfe might make an appearance, that she would have a bare moment to speak to him, and that she could converse without making herself look like an idiot.
~ taken from The Care and Taming of a Rogue by Suzanne Enoch

Thank you all for stopping by Wandeca Reads and I appreciate the comments. :)

So far I'm enjoying Wicked and TCATOAR but I'm struggling with A Lakeshore Christmas. Not sure why...I tend to enjoy Susan Wiggs, but for some reason or other this book isn't doing it for me. :
