The Mask of Atreus

The Mask of Atreus by A.J. Hartley

Deborah Miller is awaken by a strange phone call, the unfamiliar voice tells her that she needs to get back to the museum, that she mustn't let them take it. "Take what?" she asks. "The body!".
With that conversation Deborah is thrown into a whirlwind of adventure. She discovers the body of Richard Dixon, her mentor and boss, in a secret room. That room is full of Greek antiquities. But it seems that something is missing. Questions arise in Deborah's mind: Why did Richard hide these treasures? And did he have something that was worth killing for?

I'm a huge fan of "conspiracy theory" books, and this one I'm happy to say didn't disappoint. It was a little slow at the beginning but it definitely picked up pace. Because of the type of book it is, the author gave loads of information on myths, historical facts, experience of different cultures, and not one time did it bore me, it was very entertaining. I love the protagonist, Deborah, she intelligent, strong, and willing to admit to her mistakes and learn from them.

Women's Murder Club

Okay, maybe I'm the only one around that didn't know that the Women's Murder Club series is being turned into a television show, it's still news to me. I came by that little info quite by accident, was I ever surprised! I always that it would make a great show, but it was always wishful thinking on my part. And now it's going to happen, I'm so excited! Yeah! Now, I just have to wait until it starts. Hmm, that can be a problem, I'm not a very patient person. I'll have to work on it.

Women's Murder Club, will be on ABC on Friday nights at 9 eastern.

I'm a moody reader. And lately my moodiness has been all over the place. You name it, I've been reading it... romance, mystery, historical, inspirational and even non-fiction.

So, I hope you are ready for the ride...because...Wandeca Reads!(on)
